Crowd Marketing

A few years ago, an entrepreneur named Dave McClure started a blog. On that blog, he wrote about the latest tech trends and shared helpful tips on growing your business. At first, Dave mostly focused on writing content that would interest his own audience of tech enthusiasts. He had around 10,000 subscribers at the time.

However, Dave soon realized that there was an opportunity to grow his audience and make money from more than one source. He saw how tech enthusiasts were already discussing and sharing news related to his industry on social media. So, he started a newsletter that would share the most intriguing stories and juicy bits of gossip from within the tech world. He then began driving traffic to his blog from the newsletter with a tool called a blog link. A blog link is a shortened link that points to another person’s blog post. If someone clicks on an article’s blog link, they are taken to that blog post.

This is how link trading, or blog linking, as it is also known, worked. People would find and share interesting links on social media. Then, other bloggers would pick up on these links and share their own stories. This is called blogging for crowdsourcing, or crowd linking, as it is also known. It’s a way to make money from multiple sources, without having to create separate products (e.g., a business blog and a marketing blog).

Crowd Marketing & Crowd Links Are Popular

Crowd marketing is a type of marketing that aims to reach as many people as possible. A business can use social media to broadcast short ads or offers that can be accessed with a click of a button (e.g., on WhatsApp). When someone clicks on that button, they are taken to a special landing page for that business.

In these ads and on these landing pages, businesses can talk about whatever they want. They can promote their products, they can share great deals or discounts, they can even just say “thank you” for visiting their site. Whatever the case may be, these ads are designed to be as engaging and interactive as possible.

As a result, businesses can use these platforms to their advantage. They can keep their customers engaged and interested in what they have to say through organic, or natural, content. They do not have to rely on paid advertising, which is often considered a negative or unprofessional practice in some industries.

Similarly, bloggers have started to combine the two. Instead of just writing a traditional business blog, they now share amazing deals, valuable tips, and other types of engaging content on their site. Then, they use affiliate marketing techniques to generate a profit from SaaS products (Software as a Service) they recommend.

In both cases, businesses can make money from multiple platforms, without the need to create separate products or channels. This makes it easier for customers to find the content that is relevant to them. As a result, businesses can grow their audience, gain credibility, and establish trust with their consumers.
